XSAN Sign Is To Replace Your Storage

 

Apple's Xsan was the Storage Area Network for Final Cut Pro.

 

So what does Xsan mean?

 

Think of it like Ex-Boyfriend.  It's the SAN that you used to hang out with every day, and you have some fond memories of - despite all the shit it put you through at the time.

 

Seriously though, for collaborative workflows the world has just kind of moved on.


So what does Xsan mean?


At this point, it's probably time to replace you storage.
